PNBC Christmas Luncheon graced by Norway’s State Secretary
It was quite providential that Norway’s State Secretary Morten Høglund of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs was in Manila a week before Christmas, as he was able to grace with his presence the Philippines Norway Business Council’s Christmas Luncheon held last 18 December 2014.
State Secretary Høglund was in the Philippines for a two day official visit, and he was joined by Deputy Director Gry Rabe Henriksen, and Ms. Marit Aspaas, also from the Ministry. At the luncheon, he was introduced by Norwegian Ambassador to the Philippines, H.E. Erik Forner. Secretary Høglund’s speech centered on the steadily growing relations between Norway and the Philippines.
The attendees enjoyed a traditional Norwegian Christmas table, with Norwegian Gravlaks for appetizer and Pork Rib with Pork Sausage, Potatoes, Sauerkraut and Peas Pudding for the main course.
The event was held at the usual place, the I’m Angus Steakhouse, 7431 Yakal Street in Makati City.
