Protecting the most vulnerable: An update on police-cooperation between the Philippines and Norway

Nicolai Langaas, Police Superintendent from Agder police district, Norway, is currently a Nordic Liaison Officer based at the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Manila, BGC, Taguig City. The Nordic Liaison Office is a police and customs cooperation of the five Nordic countries of Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Norway and Sweden. With the aim to strengthen and make the international cooperation effective when combating cross-border organised crimes. NLO is a coordinator on behalf of the Nordic countries for the exchange of information, intelligence and investigative measures in the host country. Nicolai graduated from the Norwegian Police University College in June 2000 and have mainly been working with investigation of organized and serious crime with focus areas as drug crimes, murder, human trafficking and internet- related child sexual abuse.
