PNBC BOARD HOLDS FACE-TO-FACE STRATEGY MEETING

Still observing the necessary safety protocols as mandated by the authorities, the Board of Trustees (BoTs) of the Philippines Norway Business Council (PNBC) held a strategy meeting to lay out a strategic plan for the Council throughout the current year. This was held on 15 March 2022, at the residence of Norwegian Ambassador, H.E. Bjorn Jahnsen.

Done as a face-to-face meeting for the first time since the pandemic hit in early 2020, the Board sat down with Ambassador Jahnsen and other officials from the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Manila. The PNBC Trustees and Officers in attendance were PNBC President Carl Martin Faannessen, Internal Affairs VP Jan Andre Heggem, External Affairs VP Rodolfo Azanza Jr. (who also chairs the CSR Working Group) PR Officer Per Selmer-Olsen  , Treas. Tore Henriksen (who also chairs the Maritime Working Group), Board Sec. Charles Dela Cruz and Director Torbjorn Kirkeby-Garstad.

Most of the discussions were focused on the resumption of regularity of the general membership luncheon meetings and planning towards major events that would highlight the new Transparency Act of Norway and supporting the Royal Norwegian Embassy in Manila in relation to the the arrival of the three-masted Norwegian tall ship Statsraad Lehmkuhl in the port of Manila in the last quarter of the year as part of its circumnavigation under the “One Ocean Expedition” program.
