Ugnayan
Dear PNBC Members:
Our “Ugnayan” is a way for us to keep abreast with what is going on in PNBC as the Covid19 pandemic continues to bar us from having our staple networking luncheons. As such, for this month of December we chose to have a CSR theme for our Ugnayan Message to keep with our tradition of having CSR at the forefront of our Christmas luncheon every year.
PNBC has done some small CSR engagements throughout the period of the pandemic. Among others, we were able to support the Bridgebuilder Foundation in their requirements to supply masks, isopropyl alcohol and food/sundries for the children under the Foundation’s care. Moreover, we were also able to support our health sector frontliners via the procurement and delivery of coveralls/PPEs to at least three (3) government hospitals in Metro Manila.
We are also aware that many of our member companies have done their share in being part of the solution to the problems brought to fore by this pandemic. A number of you also provided support to our health sector and public safety frontliners through various donations.
Noteworthy also is that the PNBC Board decided to come up with the Second Edition of our CSR Guidebook around the 3rd quarter of 2020. We may recall that the First Edition came out in 2015. Done in close cooperation with the Royal Norwegian Embassy-Manila, we are now pleased to announce that the updating of the contents has now been completed and printing is now ongoing.
As PNBC gets hold of the printed copies before Christmas, we will also be uploading the e-copy of said CSR Guidebook in our website for the perusal of our member companies. We hope that this will serve as a valuable document and form part of the arsenal of resources that our member companies use in the pursuit of corporate social responsibility initiatives.
In regard of Covid19, we see a glimmer of light in the horizon now in the form of a vaccine. Let us all therefore look forward to Year 2021 with a positive viewpoint! Maligayang Pasko at Manigong Bagong Taon!
Sincerely yours,
