PNBC’s general membership meeting (GMM)
PNBC’s general membership meeting (GMM) for November received updates from both the Board of Directors and Norway’s Ambassador to the Philippines. It is important for all members to note that PNBC and the Philippine Coast Guard Auxilliary are now partners, working to keep our rivers and beaches clean.
The meeting also placed member companies GTravel and Klaveness center stage where both shared the milestones and ambitions of their groups.
GTravel MD Helge Oliversen, together with colleagues Ramon Gonzales and Terrence Connor, talked about their roster of services and interesting statistics on flights and tickets during the pandemic. For all our members who depend on flights, it is good to note that prices have come down a little.
Klaveness Maritime’s President Chona Villanos shared the company’s rich history, highly diversified business portfolio and lineup of initiatives going forwards. Their work towards a Low Carbon Future is timely, considering the focus on decarbonizing shipping.
Since the shift to virtual meets this year, this month’s GMM had record high attendance with almost 40 members who participated in the event.
