PNBC Holds Second Networking Luncheon

Thirty-nine participants from various companies flocked to the 2nd PNBC Networking Luncheon held on September 8, 2011 at the I’m Angus Steakhouse.

After a few minutes of perfunctory greetings and networking, everyone was treated to a spectacular lunch that can at the very least be described as a gastronomic delight. PNBC President Stein Eriksen then opened the event and introduced the Guest of Honor, Mr. Hubert d’Aboville, President of the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP). Mr. d’Aboville gave a presentation on the ECCP history and organization, and likewise its current activities and advocacies. He mentioned about its most recent programme, the Integrity Initiative (www.integrityinitiative.com), which involves signing up private companies and government offices to an “Integrity Pledge”. This initiative will culminate in an event jointly organized by ECCP and the Makati Business Club (MBC) called the “First Integrity Summit”, which will be held on September 14, 2011 at the Marriott Hotel, Manila. President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III will be the keynote speaker in this event.

PNBC urges all its members to support this initiative by returning the Integrity Pledge form duly signed to ECCP as soon as possible!

Mr. d’Aboville congratulated the PNBC for having achieved so much both in terms of membership and activities given that it is still a very young organization.

The event was also graced by the presence of Norwegian Ambassador Knut Solem, who has been very actively supporting and participating in PNBC activities.
