PNBC DONATES HAZMATS TO HOSPITALS
Responding to the needs of hospital units that did not receive attention from earlier donors, the Philippines Norway Business Council (PNBC) procured DOH-accredited personal protective equipment (PPEs)/hazmat suits from J.E.&Co. that were distributed to various recipient hospital units in the last week of April 2020 through the Council’s CSR Technical Working Group headed by Mr. Rodolfo T. Azanza Jr. of Norconsult, Phils. Inc. The project was approved unanimously by the Board via a Zoom meeting held on 22 April 2020 chainred by PNBC President Capt. Ivar Thomasli and attended by all the Board Directors and officers.
Through government-accredited transport volunteers, the PPEs were delivered to the East Avenue Medical Center-OPD Section (received by Dra. Raquel Rojas Ayco) and Medical Center Taguig (received by Head Nurse Ms. Merle C. Apuli, RN). The recipients sent photos of their medical staff wearing our donated PPEs as a way to express their thanks.
“We in PNBC would like to thank Mr. Adonis Bigas and Mr. Dante Cruz, the transport volunteers who picked up the hazmat suits from J.E.&Co. and delivered them to the various hospitals. Through cooperation, much can be accomplished in this fight against the Covid19 pandemic.” said PNBC’s CSR Technical Working Group Head, Rodolfo Azanza.
