Thirty schoolchildren in a Presbyterian Church-run elementary school in Quezon City were chosen to participate in PNBC’s Christmas card design contest. Each one was provided with an art kit containing a drawing pad and various art/colouring materials. From these 30 participants, three art works were chosen as winners and were printed as PNBC’s Christmas cards this year.
The little budding artist winners are:
· First Prize- Adrianne Dayanan, 10 years old
· 2nd Prize- Angelica Angeles, 11 years old
· 3rd Prize- Jones Sarenas, 11 years old
Three consolation winners were also selected, together with a special consolation prize (for the design that embodied a lot of symbolisms) won by Patricia Iris Aragon.
Consistent with PNBC’s thrust to support education as a means of addressing poverty in the country, the prizes given to the winners were books and educational toys.
PNBC VP Jannicke Steen and Board Director Rodolfo “Ozone” Azanza awarded the prizes to the winners last 20 November 2013 where they also met all the participating little budding artists.
