Philippines Norway Business Council is a non-profit making organization that was established on 5 January 2011 as a direct result of a common initiative from the Norwegian business community in the Philippines. The objective was to create a forum for Norwegian companies represented in the Philippines, Philippine companies with links to Norwegian business and individuals linked to Norwegian business.
As part of its sustainability efforts, the Philippines Norway Business Council (PNBC) has come out with a Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Guidebook for its individual and corporate members. The document utilizes ISO26000 as a framework and explains how a company might proceed with organizing its CSR activities. Some case studies were also included to illustrate how some companies are currently pursuing their CSR programs.
